Oak Circle Org brand logoMany of you understand Content Marketing & the Value of Being on America’s #! Streaming Platform — Roku.

There’s a lot of information on Oak Circle Org. Let’s break it down into a blueprint for you.

General Overview of Oak Circle Content Marketing & JOY TV Shows on Roku

Creatives need a platform. Authors usually know about an Author’s Platform. Artists, Musicians, and Entrepreneurs also need an online presence, a platform. Here are the steps you need to take. Perhaps you have gaps to fill in or you’re ready to go for your Joy TV Show. The ultimate goal is to be seen all over the internet. You want people to say what a book buyer said to me, “I see your smile everywhere!”

Branding comes first. I have a Branding Workshop but here are the basics: You must have a clear brand identity. Use your name, a copyrighted pen name, or a business name. Before you buy a domain, check to see if you can get your brand name on X. (I know, some think Twitter died, but it did not. X is the best place to advertise and to put hashtags and your link for Google to find you immediately. Once you settle on your band name, take the time to register your domain and social accounts. Reserve your brand before a hacker watching new domains steals your profile. Note: Someone stole domains from me long ago by getting into my email. STRONG PASSWORDS! I owned the Twitter accounts so I used dot org instead of paying a $3,000 ransom.

After you have your brand name, select your favorite colors. I had just returned from the Marketers Crise and had my dresses hung on my towel bar. My brother Chaz was working on my JOY Logo. He asked what colors I loved. My dresses were royal blue, red, emerald green, purple, and gold lamé. You don’t need that many colors. But, an interior designer does. I teach color psychology. It takes a semester. Just email or text me if you don’t know what colors represent you.

Also, select your pattern theme. Are you geometric or organic? Most people like curvy lines over boxy. Our natural world is full of organic patterns and we love it. I have found many logos on  Canva since my brother died from covid. (That word does not deserve capital letters.) The logo on the left is Chaz’s first one he created. Over the years, it got sharper and more colorful. He updated the gold lettering to platinum text too. The idea behind his design was everywhere I go, I shine joy.

Once you have the fun part of designing your brand, finish it with a slogan. That’s your promise of what you do. Like. “Let me add joy to your life… with publicity, with a new home…”

NEXT: Build your website. Don’t spend a fortune! Use WordPress designed for all screen sizes so you don’t have to make a different site for each device size: phone, tablet, laptop, computer, and TV. Hosting on Godaddy is cheap for one site. And they give you a free WordPress theme with all sizes builtin and directions.

Create posts with graphics as Featured Images. Post the images on your social media accounts with links to your website. I don’t allow comments because there is so much spam. I ask people to tell me what they think on X.

I never liked the word blog. I love to create content: Articles, photographs, and infographics. Express yourself. Be authentic. Share your passion for your creations. You don’t need a lot of content on your website. You need these pages for Goggle: Home telling what your site is about. About page telling who you are.  A privacy policy that you fill in the blanks (free, search). And Contact. They love a real street address. Be careful. I’ve been an identity theft victim. I use a PO Box but you will need an address to use email newsletters. Eventbrite emails for you using their address for events, even webinars. Build your website over time. Keep adding your new work.

Now, you’re ready to get back to your social media accounts. Before adding friends, create ten posts. Don’t repost anyone’s content at first. You want to have great posts, and a full bio stating how you help or entertain. Make the benefit to your target audience. Use appropriate hashtags. #author #writer #Artist #music #WritingCommunity. Follow others in your niche and learn from their posts.
